Introduce yourself! What do you do for work?
Hi! I'm Gabriella, and I'm a photographer and writer. I'm based in Atlanta, though often found in New York. I work with people to preserve memories as they make them and brands to highlight their good side. I'm most often working with folks in the design, brand, and hospitality spaces, though I love creating with a breadth of people around the world. I love to travel and read, and will gladly talk your ear off about a favorite read that I think you'll enjoy.
What is your favorite B+M scent?
Without a doubt, Winter.
What emotion/feeling does that scent evoke?
Winter reminds me of calm. It brings me back to my earlier years growing up in New England, where the cooler months are unrelenting; where it's imperative to curl up with a hearty blanket. Winter brings me home.
Take us through a perfect day off?
My ideal is as follows: a morning walk, at least 90 minutes. We start with coffee (an oat cappuccino). Once we freshen up, we're off to a bookshop for a new read, an hour or two of tennis, and a glass of wine at Larakin with friends. Post-play, we lounge!
Do you have any routines or rituals through out your day that are made more enjoyable with candles/fragrance?
Yes! I love it when I have a rare night at home, one when I can slice a match on the striker and ignite the wick. When I can sprawl on my sofa, legs splayed on the chaise. When I can crack the spine of a new book and dive in headfirst, coming up for air only when I'm ready for sleep.
When and where do you most frequently burn candles?
In my living room at home! Evenings, when I'm cooking, hosting, or enjoying a bit of a break just for me.
Is there anything exciting you have in the works at the moment?
Yes! I'll be traveling for two months this winter and am looking forward to photographing my time away and continuing to chip away at my novel, one chapter at a time.
